"I started reading early and was often drawn to books beyond my age level — but picture books still held a special place in my heart. I just wished more of them felt calm and meaningful. Too often they were loud or simplistic. I wanted something gentle and beautiful that acknowledged big feelings and trusted me to understand. That’s what I aim to create now."

Taryn is an Australian author and self-taught digital artist based in Sydney, New South Wales. Her creative interests span photography, textiles, and storytelling — with a particular love for fantasy and visual narrative.

Drawn to digital art for its accessibility and flexibility, Taryn uses this medium to bring inclusive stories to life. Her current work focuses on creating calming, imaginative resources that can be enjoyed by a wide range of readers.

Through her imprint, Arawyn Discovery Press, she continues to explore projects that reflect her values of care, creativity, and inclusion.
